Fitzmall at Letterkenny Army Depot
Saturday, May 19, 2012, Fitzgerald Toyota Scion Nissan participated in the Armed Forces Day at Letterkenny Army Depot. We had several vehicles on display for everyone to check out.
Visitors participated in HMMWV rides and tours of the Depot's facilities including the Munitions area, the Maintenance Facility, the Tactical Repair Center and the cemeteries and former homesteads. Many children's activities were offered such as the fishing rodeo sponsored by LEAD's Rod and Gun Club, face painting, games and amusements.
Originally established as an ammunition depot, today Letterkenny Army Depot is known as the Army's Capabilities Based Depot. LEAD is headquartered in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, and comprises over 18,000 acres. As the largest employer in Franklin County, with over 3,600 employees, the Depot fuels over a quarter of a billion dollars annually into the region both through payroll and contracts.
